Smell School with Folk Herbalist Liz Faermark

Plants’ smells tell us all about their medicine. Join folk herbalist Liz Faermark for a sensory experience to help kids feel calm, curious and connected to nature. We will meet and learn about some native and garden plants that have good smells and great medicine.

 Children will get to interact with these plants and learn about their medicinal properties. Then we will explore sensory observation practices, focusing on smell as an important way to identify a plant. We will also play some sensory and memory games using these medicinal plants. 

This two hour session will include a short snack break. Younger siblings 5+ welcome to tag along. Younger siblings 5+ welcome to tag along.
