Sashiko: The Japanese Art of Stitching

Learn Sashiko, the Japanese Art of Stitching!

Students will learn Sashiko using their own clothes or fabric to mend or decorate their piece!

Students will bring a piece of clothing or fabric and can choose from a variety of fabrics and threads and create a custom piece adorned with their own handiwork. All other materials are included!

This class is open to boys and girls and will have plenty of materials for both!

Please note: Students should bring a couple of options to work with. Please do not bring leather or jean materials as this will be difficult to hand sew with. The best fabric would be cotton, cotton blends, and other natural fabrics.
