Kids Hive Painting Beekeeping Exploration

Let the kids' questions run wild as we learn all about local beekeeping - hold and touch frames, wax, tools and more! Tour the "bee shed" where we keep our suits and supplies, try on a beekeepers veil or gloves and see the hives in action (from a distance). Then let that creativity out as we settle into an outdoor painting activity. Each kiddo gets a single side of a honey super (used to store the honey frames on the hives) to paint on site. All supplies provided; families can take paintings home or donate back to the apiary to be used for bees.
