Plant Quest with Folk Herbalist Liz Faermark

Join folk herbalist Liz Faermark for a springtime nature walk focused on learning about edible and medicinal weeds! Children will learn about these plants’ culinary and medicinal uses, learn patterns to help safely identify them on their own, and embark on an adventure to find these plants in their native habitat!

We will use our new pattern recognition skills to go on a quest and find some of the plants we just learned about! All children will be able to collect plant specimens and craft their own collection to take home and press! (Children will receive instructions on how to complete their pressing at home.)

This two hour session will include a short snack break. Geared toward 8-12. Younger siblings 5+ welcome to tag along.
