Wild Weed Lab with Folk herbalist Liz Faermark

Join folk herbalist Liz Faermark for a fun morning crafting snacks and playing chef with wild foods! Children will learn about some of the common edible weeds growing in their backyards: what they look like, and how to eat them! Then, we will spend time collecting wild weeds together and gather in the kitchen to make some wild food concoctions!

Small groups will get to experiment with harvesting and processing the plants. And everyone will get a chance to enjoy some yummy wild snacks. 

Children will take home a field guide with pictures and descriptions so they can find these plants again at home. 

This two hour session will include a short snack break. Geared toward 8-12. Younger siblings 5+ welcome to tag along.
